Venom Wiki: Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-09.
The short version. Venom Wiki is a dinosaur wiki for kids and the grown-ups who read with them. No ads, no accounts, no chat. 32 dinos are free and stay free. One purchase by a grown-up unlocks all the others in the app.
1. Who we are
Venom Wiki is made and operated by 4V3D Oร, a company registered in Estonia.
- Registry code: 17515961 (Estonian Business Register)
- VAT number: EE102990461
- Address: Asula tn 5-26, 11312 Tallinn, Estonia
- Email: hello@venomwiki.app
- Phone: +372 5444 0211
In these terms "we" means 4V3D Oร. Your agreement is with the company, not with any individual.
2. Who the agreement is with
The agreement is with a grown-up: a parent, a guardian or a teacher, aged 18 or over. In the app, a grown-up answers a short question and taps "Agree and continue" before a child plays. The version and the date are stored on the device.
On the website nobody is asked to agree to anything. These terms describe how we run it.
Children never have accounts and are never asked for personal details. In the app, every purchase and every link that leads out sits behind a grown-up check. You are responsible for how the child in your care uses Venom Wiki.
3. What Venom Wiki is, and what it is not
Venom Wiki is for fun and general learning: dinosaurs and their cousins, quizzes, Dino battle, Dino race and a sticker album.
It is not a school curriculum and it is not a scientific reference. Dinosaur science keeps changing. Sizes, weights, dates and pictures are estimates, and any of them can be wrong or out of date. Dino battle and Dino race are games: who wins is made up for fun and says nothing about real animals.
If you find a mistake, tell us and we will fix it. If you send us a correction or an idea, we may use it in Venom Wiki without owing you anything. We do not publish your name.
4. What is free, and paying
- Free. 32 dinos are free and stay free, on the website and in the app.
- Unlock all dinos. One purchase, made by a grown-up in the app. There is no subscription and nothing renews. It opens every dino, and everything we add later, on that store account, for as long as the app exists. "Restore" brings it back on a new device with the same store account.
The unlock works in the app, in the store you bought it from. A purchase on Google Play does not carry over to an iPhone or iPad, or the other way round. [On the website the other dinos stay locked.]
Where you buy. You buy in the app, through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store takes the payment and shows you the full price before you pay. In the EU that price includes tax. We never see your card details. Venom Wiki is not sold anywhere else.
These terms are between you and 4V3D Oร. The store is not part of them. The store's own rules also apply when you buy or use the app. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard licence for apps also applies. These terms add to it and do not replace it. Where the two differ on what we owe you, you can rely on the one that is better for you.
If a child buys. The purchase sits behind a grown-up check. For a second lock, switch on purchase approval on the device itself: "Ask to Buy" on Apple, purchase authentication on Google Play. If a child buys by mistake, ask the store for a refund, and write to us if it says no.
Tips. "Feed the T. rex" on the website is for grown-ups. It is a gift to 4V3D Oร, not a purchase. It unlocks nothing and buys nothing. You pay by card on a page run by Stripe. If you tipped by mistake or twice, write to hello@venomwiki.app within 14 days and we send it back. If a child tipped without a grown-up's permission, write to us and we send it back. The 14 days do not apply to that.
5. Refunds
Bought in the app. Ask the store first. It decides under its own policy. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: your order history in Google Play. On the App Store refunds are paid through Apple. On Google Play we can also refund an order ourselves. If the store says no and you think that is wrong, write to hello@venomwiki.app with the order number and we will look at it. If the law says you get money back and the store does not pay it, we pay you ourselves.
In the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. With digital content that right can end once it has been delivered, if you agreed to that when you paid. The store tells you which applies, on its purchase screen or in its terms. If the right still applies, you can withdraw by telling the store or by writing to us.
Nothing in this section limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live, or under the store's policy.
6. Your right to use it
You may install and use Venom Wiki on any device signed in to your store account, at home or in a classroom. Please do not sell it, rent it out, republish it as your own or take it apart to copy it. Anything the law lets you do anyway stays allowed.
On the website you are welcome to read, share links and print pages for home or classroom use. Please do not copy large parts to republish them, scrape the site, or overload it.
On the website a few links lead to other sites: the stores, Stripe and our sources. Those sites have their own terms and privacy rules. The app has no link to Stripe. Every link that leads out of the app is behind the grown-up check.
7. Content and credits
The texts, the design and the games belong to 4V3D Oร. The facts draw on open scientific sources, and those parts keep their own licences: data from the Paleobiology Database, paleobiodb.org, licensed under CC BY 4.0, creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0. The copying rule in section 6 does not apply to those parts.
8. Keeping it working
Venom Wiki will do what this page and the app's own description say it does. For as long as you can reasonably expect, we supply the updates it needs to stay secure and keep working. We cannot promise it will never have a fault. That depends on your device and its operating system as well as on us.
If something is not working the way it is described, tell us at hello@venomwiki.app and we will put it right. If we cannot, you have the remedies the law gives you, which can include a lower price or ending the contract and getting money back.
If you live in the EU, the law also gives you a guarantee that what you paid for works as described. Nothing on this page limits it.
The website is free and comes with no promise that it is always available. If we ever stop offering the app, we say so on venomwiki.app at least 60 days beforehand, and the app keeps working on your device for as long as the device's system allows.
9. Our responsibility
We are liable to you as the law says. That includes loss we cause by breaking these terms or by being careless.
We are not liable for loss that could not have been foreseen when you agreed to these terms or started using Venom Wiki, or for loss caused by something outside our control that we could not reasonably have avoided or overcome.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury, for anything we do deliberately or with gross negligence, your rights when Venom Wiki does not do what we promised, or any other liability that the law does not let us limit.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms or Venom Wiki for one of these reasons, and no others: a change in the law, a change in a store's rules, security, technical necessity, or adding or improving features.
When the terms change in a way that matters, we raise the version number, show the new terms and ask you to agree again. Small fixes to wording do not need a new agreement.
If a change makes Venom Wiki meaningfully worse for you, we announce it on venomwiki.app at least 30 days beforehand. The app update that brings the change shows it too. If you do not accept the change, you can end the agreement within 30 days after it and get money back as the law provides.
We do not plan any change that takes away something you have already paid for. If one ever has to, you get your money back for it.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
If something goes wrong, please write to hello@venomwiki.app first. We answer a complaint in writing within 15 days. If we cannot sort it out between us, consumers in the EU can take the dispute to an out-of-court body. For us that is the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon, ttja.ee).
These terms are written in English and translated. If a translation differs from the English, the meaning that is better for you as a consumer applies.
If you live in Australia or New Zealand. For Australia: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. To claim, write to hello@venomwiki.app or to the address in section 1. It costs you nothing. This comes on top of your other rights under that law.
For New Zealand: the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits them.
